How To Cook With Steam....

I believe that vegetables should be vapor cooked.  Cooking them in water, they would lose a lot of their nutritious qualities.
I use our "Couscousière".
On The Right You Can See The Couscousièr
-  On the bottom part is the pot, where you put water to boil.
-  The vapor generated goes through the holes of the collander sitting on the pot to vapor cook whatever you wish.
- Keep the colander with the lid on so as not to lose heat and vapor.
I also use the Chinese Wok where the water boils, and the Bamboo, two tier steam cooker sitting on its surface when I have various ingredients I want to vapor cook.

-  You could vapor cook:
  • Broccoli and cauliflower.
  • Zucchini
  • Eggplant
  • Potatoes peeled or un-peeled.
  • Thaw and cook frozen vegetables.
  • Use your imagination for other uses as well.
Cheers,
Stelio
