Chocolate Chip Cookies...Some of the most popular cookies...

Chocolate Chip Cookies are enjoyed by everybody,  kids and grown-ups, that is why I will give you Betty Crocker's recipe I've been using for over 25 years.

You will need:
Makes at least 72 cookies:
-  3/4 cup castor sugar.
-  3/4 cup light brown sugar.
-  1 cup butter or softened margarine (νεο βιταμ).
-  1 tsp. vanilla (for our Greek readers one tiny plastic bottle of vanilla).
-  1 large egg.
-  2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
-  1 tsp. baking soda.
-  ½ tsp. salt.
-  1 cup coarsely chopped hazel nuts.
-  2 cups chocolate chips ( again here for our Greek readers the chocolate chips are called "κουβερτούρα δάκρι" in any supermarket ).

Method:
-  Preheat oven to 375 degrees F or 190 degrees C.
-  Combine brown and castor sugars, butter, vanilla, egg, in a big bowl and mix with an electric hand beater at slow speed.
-  Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt till everything  is well blended in. (Dough will be stiff so it will take some "elbow grease" to mix).
-  Stir in nuts, then at last the chocolate chips.
 Making of the cookies:
-  Using two small spoons take small portions of the dough and drop on (one helping the other to drop) cookie sheet, about an inch apart.
-  Try to make rows of 5 x 5 =25 cookies per cookie sheet. No need to grease the cookie sheet.
Baking of the cookies:

-  Bake for 10 minutes and check not to brown. I bake them for minimum 12 minutes because I know the strength of my oven.

-  While the first cookie sheet is in the oven cooking, prepare the second cookie sheet to have it ready.
-  When the first sheet is ready, take it out, and insert in oven the second.

-  Leave cookies to cool, before transfering them to wire rack,
-  Start preparing the next batch and so on.
When all the dough is finished, and cookies cooked, leave them to cool completely before you can dig in.
Enjoy,
Stelio
