Breaded Veal / Chicken / Turkey With Ham And Soft Cheese "Cordon Bleu".

My idea of  "Cordon Bleu" is rolling thin slices of  beef, chicken or turkey breast in breadcrumbs then putting a slice of boiled ham and a tasty cheese on the top.  The cheese should melt quickly under the grill of your oven.  Chicken and Turkey are mostly used nowadays. They are cheaper, more tender, and definitely healthier than veal.
You will need:
Serves 4
-  Four thin slices of turkey or chicken breast.
-  All purpose flour in a bowl., very fine bread crumbs in another bowl, and 1 egg beaten with some water added to dilute, garlic salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme in a third bowl.
-  50 grms. of fresh butter for the frying.
-  1 slice of boiled ham cut in 4 equal pieces.
-  4 slices of cheese. You can use any quick melting cheese you like.
Method:
-  Cover each slice of meat first with flour, then with beaten egg mixture, then with bread crumbs.
A nice uniform crust should be obtained around the chicken or turkey.
-  Melt fresh butter in a skillet over medium heat and fry till golden. About 4 minutes each side.
-  Put the slice of ham and the cheese over each piece of chicken or turkey and put under a preheated grill in the oven till the cheese melts.
-  Serve immediately with mashed potatoes and whatever salad you like.
Enjoy!
