The best food ever....

Good morning everybody today I shall give you my version of a beef patty...commonly know as "The Hamburger" quick and simple.
You need:
Serves 6
-  1 kg 85% lean beef (15% fat) ground once.
-  1 Medium onion processed so well that it is nearly liquid.
-  1 egg.
-  1 Tbsp. Thyme or Oregano (Oregano has a stronger aroma).
-  2 Tbsp. Olive oil.
-  2 Tbsp. of thinly cut parsley.
-  Salt, Pepper and sweet (not hot) Paprika to taste.
-  N.B. If final mixture is too soft add a Tbsp. of very thin bread crumbs.
Method:
- Mix all the above very well together by hand for about 5 minutes, wetting your hand with water every now and then. (I usually taste the final result raw).
- Weigh 150-200 gms per patty.
- You should be able to make 6 equally sized patties.
- Set on a plate, add some Olive oil on each patty then cover with a cling film and refrigerate till it is time to cook.
There are two ways to cook the above:
a) Under the grill of the oven for 10 minutes each side depending how well done you want it to be.(Patties must be put on the lowest shelf furthest away from the grill)
b) Outdoor on the hot plate of your BBQ. The oil prevents the patty from sticking.
Baste with whatever you wish.
N.B. These patties can be made ahead of time, frozen and used as needed.
Enjoy!
Stelio
